A very interesting topic during last weeks in B & H. Everything about the referendum and posting is permitted exclusively in English.

In my opinion, it's a tragedy that Bosniak's elites and public discourse in Sarajevo are still able to incite so many reactions of the International community and OHR. BH Croats and Serbs don't have even close as much feedback as Bosniaks from the International community for their problems.

Bosniaks are meddling too much in internal affairs of Republic Srpska, regarding the fact, that Bosniaks make up just 5% of the total population in RS. The war was finished 21 years ago, the return of refugees is over for ages, we may not look back anymore.

We all know what the outcome will be regardless of the referendum, but it is great the status quo is being challenged.

Fingers crossed the referendum goes ahead and isn't cancelled at the last minute.

Alas the Bosniaks / Muslims have been to aggressive in their dealings with other two constituent peoples. They were / are better off having a confederated state whereby each constituent nation has it's territory; hereby giving everybody a sense of belonging to Bosnia. As the old saying goes you catch more flies with honey...

The English term is Republika Srpska, or rarely the Serb Republic.

I have this opinion why the referendum is an ingenious move by Dodik.

1. Dodik conducts referendum.
2. He will create a sort of a political crisis in Bosnia-Herzegovina after conducting referendum.
3. Serbia will be pressed to support Republika Srpska because of the public opinion.
4. It will move closer to Russia because of this, at least in a short term.

Thus, I think, the idea how the referendum is doomed to fail because it lacks support of Serbia is erroneous. Serbia won't have any other alternative but to support Republika Srpska in the case of a political crisis.

I think that Bosnian Muslims also achieved their political goals. They strongly stirred up the situation about a benign question on the referendum. They have sent a message, that the Serbs must not play with prospective secession, because their reaction will be much stronger. They were examining the reaction of the International community all the time as well.

It's the main topic in public discourse in B&H last few weeks. Im not an exception. Each opportunity to practise English is always welcomed as well.

Republika Srpska withstands and expands.

Just like our brotherly High Representative told us, after the referendum it will be Monday. What do you think what will happen after the referendum? Will he impose sanctions upon Srpska? Will Dodik enjoin other Serb political representatives to withdraw from the central government, will he insist on passing the Law on the Constitutional Court, will he conduct other referendums...? Let us see.

The situation is getting more interesting after the referendum again.
The main question currently is summoning Dodik at the office of Chief Prosecutor in Sarajevo to answer the questions on the unauthorised referendum held in Republika Srpska, that Dodik strongly refuses.

The Chief Prosecutor Goran Salihović was meanwhile suspended due to claims that he has obstructed investigations and inquiries without further details.
The judicial council appointed new temporary Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić on Wednesday over the course of investigation against Salihović.

About 677.000 of citizens took part on the sunday referendum. It's the finale figure.
