Tractor is a reference to Lukashenko's birthday present to Putin. In the song Putin is described as a "vile little psychopath", the vocalist represents Stalin, and the guy with rockets has NINLE on his forhead (wordplay:Nin-Le=Lenin) and is dressed in monk's outfit like Rasputin. Mama ŠČ is a metaphor for Mother Russia (ŠČ is a letter unique to russian alphabet), and crocodile is a drug popular in Russia that makes people act like zombies. Guys are dressed in military uniforms but in pink and bright colors and are wearing dresses bcs Putin is homophobic. The meaning of the lyrics is kinda obvious now: "Mama bought a tractor" "Mama (meaning Russia) loved a moron (meaning Putin)" "That little psychopath (W-w-war, war) Little, vicious psychopath (W-w-war, war) Crocodile psychopath (W-w-war, war) Mama, I'm going to war" The whole thing is trolling Putin level 10000000. Also, I would bring your attention to the fact that band members are naked in the end, with roses sticking out of their rear parts ;) Oh yes, and fuck Putin.

In interviews with the Croatian newsite Pressing, the band claimed that the song was a metaphor for the country of Russia. The band claims that in the song, they mock dictators for being "childish", with an emphasis on Russian president Vladimir Putin, who was the leader of Russia when the Russian government started the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The tractor, which is mentioned numerous times in the song, is claimed by the band as symbolism for Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko, who has helped Russia with their invasion. The song criticizes both leaders, calling them "psychopaths." In all honesty though, I wasnt the songs biggest fan at first. But after listening to it a few times I've kind of changed my mind. It grows on you. It's catchy too.

Croatia mocks not only war and those who encourage it, but also our Western civilization, where often everything that is not normal becomes desirable. If we haven't already made it to the finals with superb vocals and songs that were often better than the winning ones, now we're sending - a parody. But a very intelligent parody in which no detail is accidental, which is full of symbolism, which makes fun of all attempts to make the performance perfect, that the singers must be young, with perfect bodies, sexy clothes, perfect hairstyles and make-up . In any case- they will DEFINITELY be noticed!
And believe me, neither we, and especially not they, care if they go to the semi-finals or not. The very fact that we sent them, amused us enough.
They are really "crazy". And you can expect anything from them!

Inače ne pratim ovakve gluposti, ali ove godine se nadam da ćemo završit uvjerljivo zadnji. Ovim putem pljucam na sve licemjere koji su Let 3 ranije karakterizirali kao jugoslavene, a sad svršavaju na ovaj njihov uradak.

I koja je na kraju poruka pjesme? Svi je razlicito tumače! Je li traktor srpski ili ruski?

Pjesma je anti ratna, protiv tiranije i agresije na Ukajinu, a traktor je Bjeloruski, kojeg je Lukashenko poklonio Putinu za rođendan, što ujedno znači. kako je Lukashenko i Bjelorusija u Putinovom džepu!

As a Croat who understands lyrics, I would also like to provide an additional interpretation of the first two verses. So the first verse goes "Mama kupila traktora", and it actually doesn't literally decode to Lukashenko buying a tractor to Putin, but to Russia "buying"/bribing Belarus and establishing control over Belarus. That's because "kupila" translates to "she bought". Also, беларус (=Belarus) is the best selling model of tractor in Belarus, and this makes the parody more apparent. This interpretation is important for understanding the second verse "Armageddon nona", which is harder to understand. "Nona" in Croatian means grandmother. So if "mama" = Russia, then "nona" = "Soviet Union". This makes more sense if you consider that Russia "bought" Belarus, and has now transformed itself into new Soviet Union who wants to be an empire (armageddon nona). Finally the nonsensical spelling of alphabet letters in the middle of the song actually represents unification of (Soviet) states into new Soviet Union, which is now represented with a new symbol "ŠČ". Also "ŠČ" is parody of letter "Z" which you can now see on Russian tanks deployed in Ukraine. Despite being punk rockers, Let 3 are known in Croatia and ex-Yugoslav states for their unique punk rock style and deep symbolism. Their main member Mrle also writes texts for theatre plays, which is also worth pointing out. So the whole performance must be taken into account while interpreting it, because this isn't a song you can listen to on radio, but a mini opera that makes a parody of horrors of totalitarianism. Č (Russian Ŝ), Let3's song about Putin's ('Mother') Russia, is the most appropriate aesthetic and musical Croatian answer for the Eurovision song to the current Russian aggression. So let's decipher the text a bit. 'Mama' is constantly repeated in the song: 'Mama bought a tractor, Mama loved a moron'... 'Mama' as Mother Russia, and Belarus (Belarus) is actually a tractor model... Mother Russia (sub)bought a Tractor (Belarus) from which she also launched aggression, and from which evil is also spreading (similarly, they have been 'buying' whoever they can for years ... By the way, Putin recently received a tractor from Lukashenka for his birthday). In short, Mother Russia loves a moron - Putin - a little crocodile psychopath, who threatens armageddon, for which the little man goes to war. That's roughly how Let3 see it lyrically, the only ones on the Croatian scene who sang in a symbolic and sarcastic way about Russian aggression, which is shaping the fate of Europe. Recently, in one of the interviews, when they appeared in a TV studio with rockets with "Lenin" written on them, they said that Putin is "an example of a braggart who thinks the planet is his toy." That's what the band from the left spectrum is saying, while many others are silent! And as for the other songs, mostly rather empty and worn-out lamentations about the sufferings of love... and for that it is better to open 'The Sufferings of Young Werther' There is also the monk symbolics with the nukes and anagram of Lenjin on his forehead. The nukes is clear: Armageddon. Lenjin is the founder of Soviet Union and Putin is known as someone who always regretted that Soviet Union was dissolved, he wanted to reestablish it. That's the reason for the war against Ukraine: Without the second largest country, Soviet Union can't exist. So far the meaning of Lenjin. But there is more, the monk in black apparently represents Rasputin. Read carefully: Ras-Putin. What this means? Putin means "the man who is on the (right) way: "Put" in Russian. Like e.g. Jesus is the way to God for Christians: "Ich bin der Weg" in German. So Putin is the way for the Russian nation, their saviour. While Ras-Putin means the exact opposite. The part "Ras" in Russian means destroying of what is represented by the word following Ras. Like in Ras-kolnikov from Dostojewskis famous novel. It means to be devided in itself, a shizo. So what Let3 wants to say: Putin, the (right) way, has chosen the (wrong) way of destruction (nukes, Ras-Putin) following the (wrong) idea of resurrection of Soviet Union, represented by their founder, Lenjin. The song is full of symbolisms and hidden citations. That's just one of them.
