I've started this thread in the English section, but thought it best to post it here as well. I'm trying to find out the history of a Kalashnikov buttstock I received that has the markings of the 110 Brig. HVO who fought in Usora. Thread is here:

Does anyone have any insight into this unit? What became of them? Maybe someone here served with the 110? Any news would be helpful. Later on I intend to print out the relevant information to keep with the rifle I may build on it, so that it's history will not be forgotten.

I'll try to write some interesting info and things regarding with 110. Usora brigade. Also, I'll try to write abouth some big battles in Usora region - Battle for Putnikovo Brdo, Battle for Karuše, Šumareva Kuća battle...

Scratch , here you can find a very detailed military map of the Žepče-Usora region, with names of all brigades and battalions and their positions, in November-December 1993. Note the absence of the Croat-Muslim front line in the region of Usora. The good thing is the map is in English. I think it goes perfectly with your buttstock.

A few words on geography. Ozren in the main mountain, Bosna (engl.: Bosnia) the main river, and Doboj the main city on the map.

Usora brigade is clearly an exception on the map, which is historically interesting.

The map is in Croatian, and the orange parts denote the majority-Croatian territory (Hrvati is a Croatian word for "Croats").

You can see the position od today's Usora municipality. It is the most isolated Croatian enclave, and has a population of around 5000 with 90-95% of Croats (in fact, it is a collection of 6 Croatian villages).

Da li je istina ili mit da je 110. Brigada HVO Usora jedina brigada HVO - a kojoj su iz Armije BiH htjeli dodjeliti počasni naziv "Slavna" ali da su to iz brigade odbili? Pri tom nisam siguran da li bi to podrazumjevalo prelazak u Armiju BiH.
