French officials call Project Gutenberg archive, 15 million ebooks, Grateful Dead recordings and Prelinger Archive "terrorism," demands removal from Internet Archive
In the past week, the French government's L’Office Central de Lutte contre la Criminalité liée aux Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication (OCLCTIC) have sent 500 "terrorism" takedown demands to the Internet Archive demanding the removal of tens of millions of works: the entire archive of Project Gutenberg; an archive of 15 million texts, the entire Grateful Dead archive, the Prelinger Archive of public domain industrial films (much beloved by the MTV generation as they were the source of the channels classic interstitial animations), and the Archive's collection of recordings from CSPAN.
The takedowns come in just as the EU is getting ready to vote on a proposal that will force platforms to remove "terrorist" content within one hour or face censorship through national firewalls, fines, and criminal sanctions.
Even if it was possible for the Internet Archive to sift through tens of millions of documents in a collection targeted by one of these takedowns in one hour to figure out if the takedown notice is valid, the timezone problem means that they would have to be ready to do this in the middle of the night in San Francisco, when the EU agencies most typically send their demands.
Even without this absurd law, the situation is dire. The French authorities gave the Internet Archive 24 hours to comply with its demand or face a nationwide block.
Update: The Internet Archive offers this correction: CORRECTION: This post previously identified the sender of the 550 falsely identified URLs as Europol’s EU Internet Referral Unit (EU IRU). The sender was in fact, the French national Internet Referral Unit, using Europol’s application, which sends the email from an @europol.europa.eu address. The EU IRU has informed us that it is not involved in the national IRUs’ assessment criteria of terrorist content.
And, as the Archive explains, there's simply no way that (1) the site could have complied with the Terrorist Content Regulation had it been law last week when they received the notices, and (2) that they should have blocked all that obviously non-terrorist content.
The Internet Archive has a few staff members that process takedown notices from law enforcement who operate in the Pacific time zone. Most of the falsely identified URLs mentioned here (including the report from the French government) were sent to us in the middle of the night – between midnight and 3am Pacific – and all of the reports were sent outside of the business hours of the Internet Archive.
The one-hour requirement essentially means that we would need to take reported URLs down automatically and do our best to review them after the fact.
It would be bad enough if the mistaken URLs in these examples were for a set of relatively obscure items on our site, but the EU IRU’s lists include some of the most visited pages on archive.org and materials that obviously have high scholarly and research value.
Official EU Agencies Falsely Report More Than 550 Archive.org URLs as Terrorist Content

The sender was in fact, the French national Internet Referral Unit, using Europol’s application, which sends the email from an @europol.europa.eu address. The EU IRU has informed us that it is not involved in the national IRUs’ assessment criteria of terrorist content.
The European Parliament is set to vote on legislation that would require websites that host user-generated content to take down material reported as terrorist content within one hour. We have some examples of current notices sent to the Internet Archive that we think illustrate very well why this requirement would be harmful to the free sharing of information and freedom of speech that the European Union pledges to safeguard.
In the past week, the Internet Archive has received a series of email notices from French Internet Referral Unit (French IRU) falsely identifying hundreds of URLs on archive.org as “terrorist propaganda”. At least one of these mistaken URLs was also identified as terrorist content in a separate take down notice sent under the authority of the French government’s L’Office Central de Lutte contre la Criminalité liée aux Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication (OCLCTIC).

French IRU’s mistaken notices: At least 550 archive.org URLs were falsely identified by the French IRU in the past week as terrorist propaganda, including:
major collection pages (displaying millions of items), many pertaining only to material preserved and posted directly by the Internet Archive, others that include user-uploaded content, e.g.:
Again, these examples are only a few of the some 550 falsely identified URLs. The erroneous reports continue to be sent to us by the French IRU (the most recent example was sent a day prior to this post).
French OCLCTIC mistaken notice: The OCLCTIC emailed us a take down notice a few days ago (April 8th) identifying an item making commentary on the Quran as including “provocation of acts of terrorism or apology for such acts”: https://archive.org/details/002Baqarah_201712
The report stated that blocking procedures may be implemented against us if we did not remove the content in 24 hours. This URL was also on one of the lists that the French IRU reported to us. — Thus, we are left to ask – how can the proposed legislation realistically be said to honor freedom of speech if these are the types of reports that are currently coming from EU law enforcement and designated governmental reporting entities? It is not possible for us to process these reports using human review within a very limited timeframe like one hour. Are we to simply take what’s reported as “terrorism” at face value and risk the automatic removal of things like THE primary collection page for all books on archive.org?

Taj video je (čini mi se) od Kremlina napravljen da feministe prikazuje u lošem svjetlu. Ovo je cisti assault, napad s ciljem nanosenja fizickih povreda. Kazna zatvora je za takvo sto.

Daj joj to što nije pristojno i što nije kazala da želi, bit ćeš njen car. Daj joj to što traži od tebe, i bit ćeš tek jedan od njezinih obožavalaca (a ona rock zvijezda)...
Od uslužnih i poslušnih muškaraca žene bi najradije pravile torbe i cipele. One trebaju gospodara, ako im to ne budeš postaraće se da one to budu tebi.

Kažnjivo je zakonom, možeš zaraditi mardelj ako to kažeš pogrešnom crnji.

Zašto i ne bi verovale kad od većine imaju baš takav tretman?
Не треба одмах дизати бич критике на све жене од реда, као и мушкараца - има их свакаквих. Ено ти манастира пуних монахиња у 2020, не носе допичњаке по граду и не смешкају се битангама, славе Господа живећи повучено и скромно. Још увек има привржених и савесних мајки, бака уз своје унуке...
Проблем је нуђење младим женама погрешних избора у животу, али то се може рећи и за младе мушкарце. Читаве генерације су заведене стилом живота који ће 99% њих гледати једино на ТВ екранима.
Ипак, у кризним временима код жена биологија углавном превлада над инатом, па дају мушкарцима прилику да покажу да могу да се брину о себи и њима. Тако да је ова криза заправо добра прилика да се неке природне улоге полова у друштву и породици поново ревитализују.
Мушкарац је задужен за одлазак у набавке, жена је задужена за распоређивање залиха.

Ne može se reći i za mlade muškarce jer smo-suprotni polovi. Muškaraca i da nestane 95 % vrsta ne bi bila ugrožena, dok obratno nije slučaj. Muški idiotizam i glupiranje su čak vrsta Evolutivnog procesa usavršavanja vrste kroz nepreživljavanje totalnih budala.
Ravnoteža je potpuno poremećena i sada žene, opijene sa Moći, žele da istu primene i upotrebe. Konačno mogu da budu onakve kakve jesu a ne onakve kakve ih je Patrijarhat prisiljavao da budu (smerne, stidljive, čedne, moralne, nežne, tihe,...). Željne su nekakve osvete i sadističkog iživljavanja nad muškarcima. Svi negativni aspekti ženskog arhetipa i ženskog Principa će se osloboditi u nekontrolisanom krešendu... a to se uvek dešava pred krah neke Civilizacije (Rim, Vavilon, Egipat, itd, itd).
Buenos Aires je iznad lepo rekao: "Dali su deci (ženama) volan u ruke" ( i sad se čude što je pola grada polupano).
