Politischer Hip Hop aus Österreich ist seit heute wieder aus dem Winterschlaf erwacht.

Der selbsternannte „Tschuschenrapper“ Kid Pex veröffentlicht mit dem Musikvideo zum Lied „Antifašista“ eine kompromisslose Nummer, die eine “klare Kampfansage gegen den enormen Rechtsruck in unserem Land ist”.

“Willkommen im Land der großen Hetzer”

Mit Zeilen wie „Willkommen hier im Land der Berge, Land der großen Hetzer“, „Bevor ich Gaballier höre, begehe ich lieber Suizid“ oder „Österreich, Heute, Krone, Strache, oida, wirklich, wo, wo leb ma?“ bezieht der in Wien aufgewachsene Kroate klar Stellung zur medialen Hetze gegen Flüchtlinge. „Baumgartner, bleib im Stratos, das wär definitiv gescheiter“, „Flüchtlinge verstecken, Abschiebungen blockieren, Grassers Penthouse okuppieren, gemeinsam demonstrieren“, so Kid Pex im Lied, welches bei der gestrigen Opernball-Demo und bei der Akademikerball-Demo erstmals einem größeren Publikum vorgestellt wurde.

Junge Antifaschistin als Hauptdarstellerin

Dabei wird im Video ein Experiment gewagt, welches – vor allem im doch sehr maskulin dominierten Hip-Hop-Bereich – eine Premiere darstellt: Kid Pex leiht der jungen Antifaschistin Petra seine Stimme und sie leiht ihm und dem Musikvideo ihr Gesicht und ihre eigene Interpretation des Liedes.

Votivkirchen-Flüchtlingsrap und Hofer-Parodie

Obwohl sich durch seine größtenteils kroatischsprachigen Raps seine Karriere vor allem am Balkan abspielte, nahm der Wiener „Tschuschenspitter“ immer wieder politische Lieder auf, die für Diskussionen in Östrereich sorgten. Als er die Votivkirchen-Flüchtlinge in der Kirche im Februar 2013 besuchte, bat Adalat Khan, der Anführer der damaligen Flüchtlingsbewegung, Kid Pex und den Wiener A.Geh Wirklich? ein Lied für die Flüchtlinge zu machen. Dieses Lied wurde damals zur Hymne der protestierenden Flüchtlingsbewegung und bekam damals auch Airplay auf einigen Radiostationen sowie auf GoTV. Abgesehen von unzähligen Solidaritäts-Auftritten auf Demos in den letzten Jahren, veröffentlichte Kid Pex 2016 mit dem „Norbert Hofer Trap“ (feat. Topoke) eine Parodie auf den Kandidaten der FPÖ, welches Norbert Hofer selbst auf seinem Twitter-Account als Beispiel für „Hass im Netz“ nannte. „Ich bin gerne auf eurer schwarzen Liste“, konterte der Wiener Tschuschenspitter.

Austria Will Encourage Failed Asylum Seekers to Leave by Cutting Aid, Food

Austrian Interior Minister Wolfgang Sobotka has announced the government will stop providing failed asylum seekers with food and shelter to encourage them to leave.
The Austrian grand coalition of the Socialist Party (SPÖ) and Austrian People’s Party (ÖVP) announced new measures to tackle the issue of rejected asylum seekers who remain in the country. Interior Minister Wolfgang Sobotka of the ÖVP said migrants who refuse to leave the country will now face consequences which could include a suspension of shelter and food, Reuters reports.

The new migrant bill is also set to include provisions that would bring a possible three-week prison sentence or fines of up to €5,000 for migrants who lie about their identity. Migrants who claim to be underage, but are actually adults, has been an issue in places like Germany and Sweden. In at least two cases of murder, the migrant perpetrators have tried to claim they were underage, likely so they could receive a more lenient sentence and preferential treatment.

The new, harsher migrant policies are seen to be a challenge to the anti-mass migration Freedom Party (FPÖ) who have been tough on immigration even before the migrant crisis. Recently, when the ÖVP said they wanted to lower the yearly migrant limit to 17,000, FPÖ leader Heinz-Christian (HC) Strache said the limit should be zero and Austria should focus on deporting illegal migrants already in the country.

Interior Minister Sobotka was clear on the intention of the new legislation saying: “The first thing is basically that they don’t get anything from the Austrian state if they don’t have the right to stay here. Is that so hard to understand?”

According to Sobotka, there are around 4,000 migrants in Austria who have been rejected asylum. Of those, he claims around 2,000 should be healthy enough to voluntarily return to their home countries.

Migrants jailed for gang-raping German tourist in New Year's Eve attack

A GANG of Iraqi migrants from the same family have been jailed for raping a German tourist.

An Austrian court found eight Iraqi nationals guilty of gang-raping the German tourist in a flat on New Year’s Eve.

Prosecutors charged the Iraqi men with "abuse of a defenceless person and rape in a very humiliating and agonising way for the victim."

The Vienna Criminal Court sentenced the men to jail terms between nine and 13 years. A ninth man was acquitted.

All eight convicted men - who cannot be deported because Iraq is deemed to unsafe for them to return to - launched immediate appeals against their sentences.

The victim, a 28-year-old teacher from Germany, has been awarded more than £21,000 in damages.

Most of the men denied the charges but DNA proved that sperm from six of them was found in or on her body.

The court heard how the victim identified as Sabine K. arrived in Vienna on December 28 2015 to spend the New Year with a female friend in the city.

Shortly before midnight on December 31 they wandered into the city centre and at 2am were seen drinking in a bar-restaurant called Cactus.

Just before 3am the friend of Sabine noticed she was no longer there and was told by another patron that the men she had been talking with had "taken her away."

Judge Petra Poschalko heard how the woman was taken by four of them to an apartment in Vienna's Rustenschacher Allee where five other men were waiting. Sabine later said she found herself naked on a double bed being assaulted by the men one after the other.

Evidence as heard that said she was assaulted in the dark so she could not identify the men, according to her lawyer Karina Fehringer.

After the attacks, which went on for several hours, the victim needed in-patient treatment at a trauma clinic and now is under psychiatric care for post traumatic stress disorder.

The victim went to police where a tracking app on her mobile phone led officers to the rape scene.

The app showed that her ordeal lasted from 4.20am to 6.20am on January 1 2016.

The defendants, aged between 22 and 45, all arrived in Austria between May and December 2015 via the Balkan route.

Five of them were awarded refugee status. The applications of the other four were still pending at the time of the attack.
