PILGRIMAGE TO THE GRAVE OF FR LOVRO MILANOVIĆ
"Fra Lovro's Young Sunday"
On the following Saturday, August 27, there is a pilgrimage to the grave of the Servant of God, Friar Lovro Milanović, in Turić near Gradačac, which the people call Friar Lovro's Young Sunday.
The program begins at 4:00 p.m. with the rosary and the commemoration of the martyr's death in front of the chapel at the place of Fr. Lovro's murder.
At 5 p.m., the procession to his grave in the Turić cemetery starts, with a short Way of the Cross prayer in front of the stations that are lined up along the entire route.
At 18:00 there is a solemn pilgrimage mass led this year by the parish priest of Žeravac, Fr. Mirko Filipović.
The next day, on Sunday, August 29, St. The mass is at 11 a.m. in front of the chapel in the Turić cemetery, and half an hour before that, the prayer of the rosary begins.
The preparation for the pilgrimage celebration will take place, as every year, in three days in three parishes from the territory of the former old parish of Tramošnica from the time of Fr. Lovro:
- on Wednesday, August 24, St. mass is at 6 pm in the parish church in Slatina;
- on Thursday, August 25, St. mass is at 6 pm in the parish church in Donja Tramošnica;
- on Friday, August 26, St. mass is at 6 pm in the parish church in Gornja Tramošnica.
Every day before St. mass, confession will be possible from 5:00 p.m., and the rosary begins at 5:30 p.m.
