Over 40 per cent of Croatians surveyed between 45 and 60-years of age were either born in Bosnia and Herzegovina or have family members or relatives there, according to results of a survey conducted by the German Friedrich Ebert foundation in conjunction with the Millenium promotion agency. Some 43 per cent of Croatians between 45 and 60-years of age travel to Bosnia with the majority coming from the Slavonija region in eastern Croatia followed by those in the Istria. The results of the survey will form part of professor Bozo Skoko's study 'The image of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens in Croatia and Serbia'. Of those Serbians surveyed, 35 per cent had either been born or had relatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The survey revealed that Croatians had stronger family ties with Bosnia and Herzegovina than Serbians. Only 26 per cent of Croatians said that they had no connection at all with Bosnia and Herzegovina, reported Croatian daily newspaper Vecernji list.
