Outside Agitators
A Cairo court has convicted 43 men and women of using foreign funds to foment unrest inside Egypt in connection with the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak.
Sixteen of those convicted were Americans. All but one, Robert Becker of the National Democratic Institute, had already departed. Becker fled this week rather than serve two years in an Egyptian prison.
And U.S. interventionists are in an uproar.
“Appalling and offensive,” said Sen. Pat Leahy of the verdicts.
“The 2011 revolution was supposed to end the repressive climate under Mubarak,” said The Wall Street Journal of our ally of 30 years whom Hillary Clinton called a family friend.
This “crackdown,” decries The Washington Post, was defended with “cheap nationalism and conspiracy theories.” As for Egypt’s proposed new law for regulating foreign-funded groups promoting democracy, it is “based on … repressive and xenophobic logic.”
Yet the questions raised by both the Cairo and Moscow crackdowns on U.S.-funded “democracy” groups cannot be so airily dismissed.
For these countries have more than a small point.
While U.S.-funded democracy promotion is portrayed as benign, the National Endowment for Democracy, the International Republican Institute, DNI and Freedom House have been linked to revolutions that brought down regimes in Serbia, Ukraine, Georgia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, and nearly succeeded in Belarus.
People who pride themselves on bringing about revolutions should not whine when targeted regimes treat them like troublemakers.
And who directs these “pro-democracy” groups?
Before 2011, Freedom House was headed by ex-CIA Director Jim Woolsey, who says we are in “World War IV.” The IRI is chaired by John McCain, who pushed for U.S. intervention in the Russia-Georgia war and is clamoring for air strikes on Syria.
The DNI chairman is ex-Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, who says: “We are the indispensable nation. We stand tall, and we see further than other countries into the future.”
Is it not understandable to patriots of the original “Don’t Tread on Me” republic that foreigners might resent paid U.S. agents operating inside their countries to alter the direction of their politics?
We have a right to advance our democratic values, we say.
But for the United States to push, for example, for freedom of speech, press and assembly in the People’s Republic of China is to promote political action that must lead to the fall of Beijing’s single-party state. Do we not understand why that might be seen by the Chinese Communist Party of Xi Jinping as subversive?
In the Cold War Americans learned that not only was the Communist Party U.S.A. a wholly owned subsidiary of Joseph Stalin’s Comintern, that party had deeply infiltrated the U.S. government and Hollywood. In the late ’40s and early ’50s, America was convulsed over communist penetration of our institutions.
Martin Luther King Jr. was wiretapped by J. Edgar Hoover at the direction of JFK and Attorney General Robert Kennedy because he refused to dump an adviser, Stanley Levison, who was a communist and thought to be a Soviet spy.
Were the Kennedys being “repressive and xenophobic”?
If we were apoplectic that Soviet-funded communists were seeking to influence our culture and politics, why ought not other countries, with cultures and institutions far different from our own, react even as we did?
In the stricter societies of the Islamic world, governments have enacted laws regarding alcohol, premarital sex, divorce, abortion, homosexuality, gay marriage and religious conversions different from any such laws in the U.S.A.
In some of those countries, such activities can produce floggings, amputations, stonings and beheadings. In many of these countries, children are indoctrinated in the Islamic faith in government-supported schools. Not here.
We may deplore this, but where do we get the right to intervene in the internal affairs of these countries if they do not threaten us?
And are we really consistent in our democracy promotion?
How many U.S.-funded agents of Freedom House, NED, IRI and NDI are in Bahrain demanding elections that would permit the Shia majority to dump the king and oust our 5th Fleet from its Persian Gulf base?
How would we react if Riyadh funneled billions of petrodollars into organizations and agents to finance Wahhabi madrassas and assist local Muslim communities in the U.S.A. with their efforts to enact sharia law? What lies behind U.S. interventions in the internal affairs of countries all over the world? There is, first, the residual Cold War mindset. What we did for Solidarity in Poland was right and successful, and we cannot give up this tool of democracy just because the Cold War is over.
Second, there is the arrogance of power, the End-of-History babble about democracy being the last, best hope of earth to which all nations should aspire — and if they don’t, give them a kick in that direction.
Once the most admired of nations, America is no longer so.
Why not? Because of our compulsive interventions, military and political, in the internal affairs of nations that are none of our business.
Defund the American Comintern, and bring the outside agitators home.

Poznati svetski milijarder Džordž Soroš izneo je sumorne procene prema kojima je u vremenima kao što su ova najvažnije opstati.

Iz svoje kancelarije na 33. spratu zgrade iznad Sedme avenije u Njujorku, on kaže da se svet suočava s najopasnijim periodom u modernoj istoriji – periodom zla.
„Nisam tu da vas razveselim. Pred nama su veoma teška vremena, koja se na mnoge načine mogu uporediti s Velikom depresijom iz ‘30-ih godina. Suočavamo se s opštim ograničenjima razvijenog sveta, koja prete decenijom stagnacije, ako ne i gorim od toga“, prognozira Soroš.
On je ubeđen da, ukoliko dođe do kolapsa evra, postoji opasnost oživljavanja političkih konflikata koje su Evropu razarale vekovima, kao što su ekstremne forme nacionalizma koje se manifestuju kao ksenofobija, isključivanje stranaca i etničkih grupa.
Čini mi se da u drugim delovima sveta takvih imbecila nema.
Ono što me najviše iznenađuje je činjenica da se oni pripremaju za borbu protiv sopstvenih sugrađana koji bi im, zaboga, mogli oteti one hiljade konzervi i pobiti ih na spavanju.
Govori li vam to dovoljno o prirodi američkog društva?
To je dokaz da se od migracijama sklepane populacije ne može napraviti nacija, sa svime što ona podrazumeva.

More white people died in the United States last year than were born, a surprising slump coming more than a decade before the Census Bureau says that the ranks of white Americans will likely drop with every passing year.
Population estimates for 2012 released Thursday show what’s known as a natural decrease — a straightforward calculation of births minus deaths — of about 12,400 people among the nation’s 198 million non-Hispanic whites.
Only if reporters Carol Morello and Ted Mellnik do not read their own newspaper, in which various means of limiting births and demoralizing the white population are celebrated every single day, could they possibly consider this news “surprising.” Since it is unlikely that they do not read their own newspaper, their use of this word is entirely dishonest.

The melting pot has never been better than it is now. I encounter many individuals who defy race classification, with a heritage that is clearly diverse, and they are all wonderful people. If there’s any real hope for the future of this country, it will be with the dying off of those who are very conservative…and white. They are responsible for much of what is wrong in our society right now — divisive, intolerant, hateful. The melting pot can only get better.
Imagine the newspaper publishing a comment that said the country would be better if blacks were “dying off.” Eduardo is permitted open, flagrant racial supremacy and hatred.

Zavod za statistiku očekuje daljnje opadanje u broju rođenih beba bijelaca, dok generacija "baby boomera" stari, navodi se u saopćenju.
Manjinsko stanovništvo mnogo se brže razvija od bijele zajednice zbog visoke stope nataliteta, što je posebno izraženo kod zajednice Hispanoamerikanaca, ali i zbog imigracije.
Međutim, podaci ukazuju na to da i bijelo američko stanovništvo bilježi manja povećanja broja usljed imigracije iz Evrope.
Manjinska grupacija koja se najbrže razvija su Azijati, čiji je broj tokom prošle godine povećan za 2,9 posto i Hispanoamerikanci, kojih je više za 2,2 posto.

iako se po medijima vrti podatak da je u 2011. godini po prvi put rođeno više manjinske djece od Non-Hispanic White (kako ih zovu), to baš i nije točno kad se pogledaju službeni podaci.

Ma neće nigdje bježati. Prejaki su i moćni i ako postanu manjina, drže sav kapital i držat će sve velike američke gradove poput NY i LA ili barem najvažniji i elitni dio gradova.
PS: što se tiče Brazila, pošto mnogi uzimaju Brazila kao primjer kako izgleda nacija ako dođe do mješanja, bijelci u Brazilu su dalje u velikom broju, jako je velika zajednica i imaju u odnosu na procenata oko 50% što je opet dovoljno da se očuvaju. Pa vidite npr. Sao Paolo, bijela zajednica ima zidove oko sebe da se zaštite.
Bijesni zbog prijedloga za otvaranje islamskog centra blizu (Ground Zero) Nulte tačke u New Yorku, grupa ljubitelja oružja iz Idaha odlučila je uzvratiti mecima premazanim svinjetinom, piše Huffingtonpost.com.
Kompanija South Fork Industries iz Idaha tvrdi da je njihova municija, zvana "Jihawg" odbrambena mjera protiv "onih što čine nasilje u ime islama".
Meci su premazani bojom od svinjetine, kojom kompanija pravi "haram" municiju, i tako želi spriječiti ustrijeljenog muslimana da ode u džennet.
"Sa municijom Jihawg ne ubijete samo islamskog teroristu, takođe ga pošaljete u pakao. To bi mučenicima trebalo dati nešto za razmišljanje", saopćeno je iz kompanije.
Zvaničnici kompanije odbili su odgovoriti na pitanja novinara.
Shannon Dunn, asistencija profesora religijskih nauka u Gonzaga University, kaže da je koncept South Forka zasnovan na nepreciznom tumačenju Kur'ana.
"Postoje neke interpretacije koje govore da je muslimanima dozvoljeno da jedu svinjetinu da ne bi izgladnjeli", govori Dunn.
Municija ima mnogo ljubitelja, sa više od 4.300 "likeova" na Facebooku.

Šuška se kako je Edvard Snuden uspio da se dočepa Rusije. Ako je to istina onda Amerima jedino što je preostalo kada je u pitanju ovaj slučaj jeste da se uzdanu u Putinovu dobru volju.
Ja mislio na tako tajne zadatke se stavljaju ljudi koji rade po 30 godina u tajnoj službi. Oni kupe informatičare sa Biroa.
Ali ništa čudno, otkad nema USSR sve je to postalo za kurac. Po danu na tajnim zadacima letaju okolo u crnim helikopterima. Ludilo neviđenih proporcija.

Danas otvoriš facebook i saznaš jednaku količinu informacija kao nekad iz cijele godine praćenja. Danas više nema potrebe za James Bomdovima, nekakvim likovima koji će se kretati u visokim društvima, zavoditi žene diplomata i preko njih krasti informacije, traženiji su obični nerdovi...

Nego, Snowdena će u Rusiji smatrati herojem, dok su Kinezi u svim anketama govorili da je lik izdajica, kad je ulazio u službu potpisao je ugovor i prekršio ga, to po njima častan čovjek ne čini... Koji mentalitet
Nije to poanta. Već da moraš zaposliti provjerene i pouzdane osobe. Ne radi se samo o Facebook, već su imali i podatke kreditnih kartica od ljudi i SMS-ove.
Ne možeš započinjati nove teme. Ne možeš odgovarati na postove. Ne možeš uređivati svoje postove. Ne možeš izbrisati svoje postove. Ne možeš postati privitke.
