When you say "were", "asked" and such, I have a feeling that it is something that happened, and that won't happen again. Like, "Muslims were his main customers". I don't know, somehow that just don't sit in my ears. :neznam

Because, muslims are still his main customers, and when you say "where", it sounds like that time is in the past. :neznam

I had that dilemma first time. :neznam

Don't feel bad. It's a tricky part of the grammar.
Just put the main verb in the present, and it will be ok .

On the other hand, you probably wish I speak like Vuk Drašković. I can only imagine the way he speaks. =))

To be honest, I had better fluency 5 yrs ago when I was corresponding with native speakers, mostly Americans and British and today I`m half of the time in contact with Germans, Italians, Czechs and simple English is more than enough. But deep inside I have somewhere all those possibilities and phrases I had known, after all I finished 9 degree of 10 in Berlitz, which is from my point of view, by far the best school for foreign languages in Croatia.

Here's the thread about English language. There are plenty of people on this forum from Australia, United States and Canada, so I think they could transfer us parts of their knowledge of English.

American ambassador mister Foley is very nice man,I met him few times at Croatian-American forums organized by the US embassy (first time in Zadar next time in Zagreb) , I don't doubt you'll get your visa without any complications.
